Fianna Fáil Councillor in the Rosslare LEA, Lisa McDonald, has today welcomed funding approved under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) for three projects in the Rosslare Municipal District.
“I am delighted to be informed today that a total of €60,000 has been approved for three projects in the Rosslare Municipal District”, said Cllr. McDonald.
“In my own local area of Murrintown €20,000 has been granted towards the extension of our community walking track. This amenity will help to improve the health and well-being of the local population and provide them with a safe alternative to walking along often busy and dangerous roads”.
“I also welcome €20,000 for the provision of improvement works and signage at the River Walk, St. Clouman’s Way, Duncormick and a further €20,000 to improve access to the existing Slí Charman coastal trail at St. Helen’s, Rosslare”, concluded Cllr. McDonald.
