Yola FC unsuccessful in League Application

Yola FC released a statement on Thursday evening giving an update on their application for League of Ireland status.

“Yola FC would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, our supporters, and the wider community who offered us fantastic support in our recent application to apply for the League of Ireland First Division Licence.

We are disappointed not to have been afforded the opportunity to go forward, however, we have some excellent ideas and plans, on how we can grow as a club. We will indeed be inviting the football community to assist us in developing and growing our club, in preparation for the next application process. We have in place top class managers, coaches, and of course a seriously committed positive and energetic committee whose strength will drive this club’s ethos and plans.

We would like to thank the FAI and the League of Ireland for the opportunity to present our vision to them. Their detailed feedback will prove invaluable; we will ensure we are even better prepared when we apply again next year. We would also like to take this opportunity, to wish the clubs who have been selected to complete the process, the best of luck and hope they are successful in their applications.

We look forward to working with you all in the coming year.

Yours in sport,

Yola FC committee.”
