Good News for the Local Point-to-Point Scene

Good news on the point-to-point front for local trainers as the Stewards of the Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee has announced that the 2020-21 season will begin on the week commencing the 14th of September.

In addition there will be at least a 30% increase in the fixtures for the Autumn season, to cater for horses that were affected by the early cancellation of the spring 2020 point-to-point season.

Stewards have also agreed that further fixtures may be added during the course of the autumn season where necessary, should they deem that sufficient demand exists.

The point-to-point bumpers for horses with Hunter Certificates were considered, but due to a number of varying factors these events will not now take place.

The autumn 2020 fixture list will be published in the coming weeks.
