The Chairman of Enniscorthy Rugby Club, Paul McCrea, issued a statement this afternoon, on the club’s Twitter account.
“Everything is dominated at present by current situation with that everything in Enniscorthy Rugby Club has shut down including GYM. I would ask all members to respect this decision for the greater good. Hopefully, we will all get over this together, there will be no more rugby until Autumn but more important is that we do everything for the greater good and try to minimise the impact.
The players through the leadership of Hughie O’Neill have put together a group to help anyone who need chores, shopping or help of any kind over the length of the crisis. If anyone needs assistance please contact Hughie 0851260433 in first instance and he will arrange logistics of same. This just shows the calibre of our players who make everyone in club proud of them on and off the field.
300 draw, the commencement of our 300 draw has been postponed until September to hopefully coincide with the start of 2020/21 season. All monies paid so far have been lodged to fundraiser account and all standing orders will be held until September before been activated on commencement of draw. I apologise to all our patrons but in the circumstances no other course of action was feasible.
The club dinner dance due to take place on May 3rd has been cancelled for this year.
