Another double for champion rider Barry O’Neill

BARRY O'NEILL rode another two point-to-point winners today Pic;

Two of today’s scheduled point-to-point meetings at Oldtown, Co. Meath and Stonehall, Co. Limerick were cancelled because of Storm Ciara, but Tallow, Co. Waterford went ahead and for the second day in a row Barry O’Neill rode a double.

First victory for O’Neill came aboard Glenglass owned by the Milestone Racing Partnership and trained by Colin Bowe by one length in the maiden race for four year olds.

His second winner came in the geldings maiden race on Zihuatanejo in the colours of Patrick Redmond, Gorey, and trained at Bunclody by Richard Black. The winning distance was one and a half lengths. O’Neill was riding his 575th career point-to-point

There was a Wexford first and second in the maiden race for five year old geldings with Recite A Prayer coming home twelve lengths to the good for Duncormick handler Michael Murphy and the Redbridge Stables with Tiernan Power-Roche in the saddle.

March 8th; Killinick Harriers at Lingstown, Tomhaggard.

March 29th; Bree Hunt at Monksgrange, Rathnure.

April 5th; The Island Hunt at Ounavarra, Courtown.

April 19th; Bree Hunt at Monksgrange, Rathnure.
