Duncannon Beach suitable for swimming again!

DUNCANNON BEACH. 'No Swimming' ban has been lifted and it is now safe to swim.

Wexford County Council is advising the public that the “No Swimming” advice issued last Monday in respect of Duncannon Beach has now been lifted, and that the beach is once more suitable for swimming.

The Council issued the “No Swimming” advice on Monday following the detection of slightly elevated levels of microbiological contamination at the beach. However, test results received by the Council earlier today confirm that water quality at Duncannon Beach has returned to its usual excellent standard, allowing the “No Swimming” notices to be removed,

Wexford County Council appreciates the co-operation of the public over recent days in observing the precautionary “No Swimming” advice and assures the public that the highly popular South Wexford Blue-Flag Beach is very much open for business once again.
