Ireland win European team bronze in Holland

The Irish U18 (Junior) Showjumping team won the bronze medal in the European Youth Championships in Holland this afternoon.

Less than a fence separated the top three teams at the finish, with the Irish quartet of Wexford’s Harry Allen (Dancing Queen Z), former Good Counsel student, Jack Ryan (Essenar High Hopes), Athlone’s Kate Derwin (AHG Whiterock Cruise Down (ISH), and Mayo’s Ciaran Nallon (Cloe GP Z), managed by James Kernan, taking the bronze medal with Spain clinching gold while Germany took silver.

Three members of today’s team, Harry Allen, Jack Ryan and Kate Derwin. were part of the Irish Junior team which also won European bronze in 2018.
