No luck for Ballyanne Sim in Nottingham

There was no joy for Eamon Cleary’s, Ballyanne Sim, in the semi-final of the English Greyhound Derby, in Nottingham, on Saturday night.

His trap four berth did nothing to help his cause and he was in the wars around the opening two bends, he finished sixth on the night.

He may well contest next week’s consolation final, the meeting again will be shown live on Sky Sports. Four Irish trained dogs have reached the £100,000 decider,
