A Wexford victory will book Leinster final date

Wexford play Kilkenny in the final round robin game of the Leinster Hurling Championship in Innovate Wexford Park on Saturday evening, the game throws in at 7pm and is live on Sky Sports.

It’s a must win game for both sides, a win for either side will secure a Leinster Final date. There are many permutations that could arise, so here is a quick guide,

Wexford and Dublin win- Wexford top the group.

Wexford and Galway win- Wexford finish second in the group

Kilkenny and Dublin win- Wexford finish fourth in the group

Kilkenny and Galway win- Wexford finish third in the group

Both games are drawn- Kilkenny and Wexford tie in second place- scoring difference decides who advance to Leinster final

Wexford & Kilkenny draw; Galway win- Kilkenny and Wexford tie in second place- scoring difference decides who advance to Leinster final

Wexford & Kilkenny draw; Dublin win- All four teams finish level on points- scoring difference will decide.

Wexford win; Galway & Dublin draw- Wexford and Galway top the group.

Kilkenny win; Dublin & Galway draw- Wexford and Dublin finish level in third- scoring difference will decide.

So, as you can see, it’s very simple, Wexford just need to beat Kilkenny to gaurantee a Leinster final date.
