Boleybawn Rigaletto wins Cork qualifier

Aoife Dooley & Boleybawn Rigaletto impressed the judges on Wednesday evening.

The Maurice Cousins’ owned, Boleybawn Rigaletto, won the penultimate 4yo Showjumping RDS Qualifier at Maryville, Carrigaline, County Cork, on Wednesday evening.

The chestnut mare, is by Dignified Van’t Zorgviet, out of the Luidam mare, Boleybawn Hannah, bred by Ronan Rothwell, Tinahely, and was ridden by Aoife Dooley. Her sire, Dignified, stands at Tullabeg Stud, Camolin, with Nick Cousins, and the son of Clinton is producing top class showjumpers as well as show horses for the ring.

Boleybawn Rigaletto came out on top in the class of 54 horses, she was judged by the two German judges as the best of the day.

Jason Higgins took the runner-up spot aboard Castlefield Confellow, by Cornet Obolensky, out of the Laughtons Flight mare, Fendoy, bred by Martin Doyle and owned by Ger O’Neill, Bennettsbridge, Co Kilkenny.
