Eamon’s “Ballyanne Sim” bids for English Derby glory

Eamon Cleary’s, Ballyanne Sim, runs in trap four, in the third quater final, of the Star Sports English Greyhound Derby, at Nottingham, on Saturday night.

Last September he won the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby at Shelbourne Park, and to date he has won €145,465 in prizemoney.

Currently the dog is chalked up at 33/1 with the sponsors, but it should not be forgotten when he won the Shelbourne equivalent he was a 12/1 shot.

The final takes place on Saturday the 29th of June and has a first prize of £100,000.

Ballyanne Sim showed his liking for the Nottingham circuit when winning the opening round of the 2019 Star Sports Derby- watch the race and Eamon’s interview below.
