The Wexford senior footballers take on Derry in the opening round of the qualifiers this evening at 4.45pm in Innovate Wexford Park.
The sides met last March in the final round of Division 4 of the Allianz League, in a high scoring game, the northerners had a 2 point victory, 3-21 to 4-16, although it should be remembered that Derry were already qualified for the league final, which they went on to win, so that game meant very little to them.
The home side face a difficult game, Paddy Powers install Wexford at 4/1, Derry are hot favourites at 1/4, and a draw at 10/1. In the handicap market you can have a flutter on Wexford at 5/6 with plus 5 points.
