Oulart get the better of St Martin’s in a game of “Poker”

Oulart beat St Martins in Sunday’s senior camogie league on a scoreline of 1.12 to 2.07, but as both sides are almost assured of qualifying for the final neither side gave too much away.

St Martins starting without, Mags Darcy and Noeleen Lambert while Oulart opted to leave Mary Leacy and Ursula Jacob on the bench, although the latter came on for the final 15 minutes.
A low scoring first half saw St Martins lead by a single point, 1.05 to 1.04 up. Chloe Foxe and Aideen Brennan getting goals for there respective sides.

Oulart started the second half much stronger with Anais Curran and Katie Gallagher amongst the points to give Oulart a two point lead. Ursula Jacob was introduced with 15 minutes to go and she took some vital scores.

Emma Codd scored a great goal for St Martins two mintes from the end to give a nervy finish but Oulart held on for there 2 point victory.

There is one more round of the league to be played, and the two sides will meet once again in three weeks time in the league final.
