Cllr Barbara-Anne launches 2019 election bid

At Cllr Barbara-Anne Murphy’s Election Launch Night in Bunclody were James Browne TD, Cllr Malcolm Byrne, Cllr Barbara-Anne Murphy, Dara Calleary TD Deputy Leader Fianna Fáil, Cllr Keith Doyle, Senator Mark Daly and Aidan Browne, Council Election candidate.

Bunclody-based Cllr Barbara-Anne Murphy has been a member of Wexford County Council for ten years and is bidding to extend her tenure with the assistance of the electorate on May 24th.
At the launch of her Election Campaign in River’s Edge, Bunclody, Dara Calleary, Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil spoke of Cllr Murphy’s interest in and commitment to, her community. “The work she has put in over the past number of years is phenomenal” stated Deputy Calleary, who added: “Barbara-Anne is one of the hardest working councillors I know, ensuring that is area of north-west Wexford has a voice in the Wexford Council Chamber.”
Cllr Malcolm Byrne, the Party’s European Election candidate also addressed the meeting and stressed the importance of electing an MEP from Co. Wexford.
Cllr Murphy spoke about her priorities which include job creation opportunities, especially in the areas of agriculture, food and tourism; increased investment in rural roads, the roll out of broadband; increase Tourism opportunities and continued support of the volunteer led Tourist Office and the provision of housing.
The event was attended by a large number of friends and supporters and included Dara Calleary TD Deputy Leader Fianna Fáil, James Browne TD, Senator Mark Daly, Cillr Keith Doyle, Chairman of Wexford County Council, Cllr Willie Kavanagh, Chairman of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council, Cllr Joe Sullivan from Gorey District and Enniscorthy’s Aidan Browne who joins Cllr Murphy and Cllr Keith Doyle on the Fianna Fáil ticket in the Enniscorthy Municipal District.
