Kenny takes fifth in Barnadown Spring Tour

The ninth leg of the SJC Spring Tour took place at Barnadown, just outside Gorey, on Sunday afternoon, sixty one combinations took on the John Doyle designed course, victory went to Kilkenny young rider, Oisin Alyward, riding, the 9 year old mare, Syhoejegaards Hurrycane Dice, in the Cooper International Horse Transport sponsored class. Oisin is from Graiguenamanagh, and is a former student of Good Counsel College, New Ross.

The best placed local rider was Michelle Kenny & Hillside Grey Dawn, that combination, jumped double clear, and took fifth place on the day, she is based at River Lodge Equestrian in Bridgetown.

May will certainly be busy at Barnadown, the venue hosts the RDS Qualifers on Wednesday the 8th of May, and the following Sunday there is a leg of the National Grand Prix, as well as a leg of the Irish Sport Horse Stud Book Series.
