Charlie is Tuesday’s winner on COUNTDOWN

Enniscorthy's Charlie Kavanagh won the COUNTDOWN teapot and is on tomorrow's show again on Channel 4 at 2 .10 pm.

Enniscorthy’s Charlie Kavanagh emerged as winner of Tuesday’s edition of COUNTDOWN on Channel 4 which means he will return on Wednesday’s show and is certain to take home the coveted COUNTDOWN teapot!

Introduced by presenter Nick Hewer as “Charlie Kavanagh, a sailing instructor from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, who has made four Atlantic crossings and sailed around Ireland in 2017,” won today’s gameshow by 67 points to 41 for his opponent.
The popular British daytime television show, which also features Rachel Riley and lexicographer Susie Dent, involves word and number tasks against the clock and is transmitted from Granada Television Studios in Manchester and celebrated 7,000 episodes just a few weeks ago in January.
It is one of the longest-running game shows in the world.
