Kilanerin hosts next Sunday’s Sustainability Fair

Kilanerin Community Centre hosts next Sunday's Sustainability Fair.

Minister Michael D’Arcy will be guest of honour in Kilanerin Community Centre next Sunday where he will perform the official opening of the Sustainability Fair which operates from 12 noon to 4 pm and is promoted by the Sustainable Energy Community.
The event will have over 30 exhibitors in attendance, free workshops, an opportunity to test-drive an EV or hybrid electric powered car, food stalls and games and demonstrations for the children, and much more…
Dr Conor Murphy will give a talk on ‘Our Climate is Changing’ and other experts will offer opportunities to discuss a range of household, agricultural or community issues that will benefit the changes facing not only the energy community, but all of us!
Head of the organising group, Karen Finigan told that as far as our sustainable energy community is concerned; “We are all involved and we have already started on this journey together! Homeowners, farms, schools, public places and businesses.”
“Our goal is for Kilanerin, Ballyfad, Ballythomas and beyond, to maximise both energy efficiency options and sustainable energy systems,” said Ms. Finigan, who added; “Together as a community we will share ideas and information as we continue to evolve into the future.”
The event is being promoted as “a great day out for all the family!” and locals and visitors alike are invited to come along to this free event and share ideas and information in a changing world.
ADDITION AUDIO; Karen Finigan tells Dan Walsh about the Sustainability Fair.
