Colette Nolan to contest new Kilmuckridge area

Popular and enthusiastic Ferns-based activist Colette Nolan will be Sinn Féin’s candidate for the new Kilmuckridge electoral area in next May’s Local Elections.
Speaking after the selection convention held in the Monageer Tavern tonight, Ms Nolan said “it’s a huge honour and a privilege to have been nominated and selected to represent Sinn Féin in the local elections of May 2019.”
Kilmuckridge Local Electoral Area will have four members elected following changes to the electoral boundaries earlier this year and will sit in the chamber of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council.
This area takes in the townslands of Tinnacross, Kilcormick, The Harrow, Ballymore, Ballycarnew, Killenagh, Ballygarrett, Monamolin, Wells, Ford, Cahore, Killincooly, Ballyvaldon, Castle Talbot, Bolaboy, Castle Eillis, Killmallock, Edermine, Ballyhuskard, and she is looking forward to meeting with constituents in these townlands.
Ms Nolan was congratulated on her selection by Cllr Johnny Mythen who is the party’s candidate in the next General Election.
Ms. Nolan is a well-known activist and champion to improve services for the public, especially in the area of mental health.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my nomination and selection, and I look forward to working with you all in the New Year,” she concluded.
