A few more things to do on Christmas Day!

ROSSLARE STRAND. Co. Wexford's Tidiest Village 2018, hosts a Christmas Day Swim.

Christmas Day is traditionally a family day, but some outdoor events also happen, usually, with a fun or charitable purpose in mind, and WexfordToday.com has been informed of a few events happening.
They won’t interfere with the spirit of Christmas, instead they will enhance everything that is tied up with kindness and caring for each other at this special time of year, and we can be proud of the people who set aside their time to care for others.
A mid-day Christmas Day Swim takes place at Rosslare Strand and participants and spectators are all welcome. The event starts beside the lifeguard tower and refreshments will be served afterwards.
Hundreds are expected to participate in the annual Courtown Christmas Day Swim which gets under way at 12 noon and will be supervised by the local RNLI inshore crew. This event is organised by Courtown Hibs FC in aid of the RNLI and participants are welcome. Contact John (087 6494367) or Bert (087 2049686) for further details.
A group known as Wexford People Helping People will host a Christmas Party for 200 at St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Wexford. Entry is free and visitors will be treated to a Christmas dinner and entertainment. Contact Gary on 085 8256235 to secure a place.
A 5km Christmas Parkrun takes place at Bettyville Park racecourse in Wexford from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. A mince pie and some alcohol-free mulled wine is also available.
If anybody has an event that we haven’t mentioned here, but would like to tell us about it, we will be more than happy to share your experience. Also photos from your Christmas and New Year experiences may be suitable for publication.
