Headstone Symposium in Gorey on Saturday

The unique world of headstones or memorials found in the graveyards around North Wexford are the subject of debate and investigation at the 2nd annual Headstone Symposium in the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, on Saturday, October 6th.
Organised by the North Wexford Historical Society, last year’s event attracted around 40 people and an even bigger attendance is expected his year.


Registration is at 9 am and the early part of the day consists of lectures and workshops, lunch, and there is a field trip in the afternoon to Ardamine and Donaghmore graveyards.
