Enniscorthy faces disruption to water supply

Primary areas that may be affected are: Parnell Road, St John’s Villas, Rafter Street, Main Street, Weafer Street, Irish Street , Island Road, Abbey Quay, Shannon Quay, the Promenade, Templeshannon, Market Square, and Munster Hill.

Irish Water are carrying out an improvement programme in the county to upgrade the water treatment plants which means that Enniscorthy will face disruption to the water supply in the coming weeks.
District Manager Liz Hore has requested WexfordToday.com to get the message to as many consumers as possible and ensure that all businesses and households are aware in advance of the necessary work and to make plans around the disruption times
The elected members of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council have requested that the essential works impact be minimised in Enniscorthy and Wexford County Council has agreed with the contractor that the work will be carried out between 2 pm and 6 pm on Tuesday, September 11th and the following Tuesday, September 18th.
The Council apologise for any inconvenience and thanks everybody affected for their co-operation.
