Management and staff at the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy, were in celebratory mood last weekend as the award-winning iconic building by the banks of the River Slaney celebrated its 20 year anniversary.
Proprietor, Colm Neville, and Jim Maher, were joined by all the loyal and talented staff in the foyer for a cake slicing ceremony and the symbolic anniversary celebration. A number of staff still working at the hotel have been there since it first opened.
Enniscorthy native, Jim Maher, General Manager of the Riverside Park Hotel over the past 20 Years is very excited about the 20 years in business; “We are really looking forward to celebrating this milestone. It is with great pride that we have grown our employee numbers from 60 to currently over 200 and to be able to have six staff that have being here since the very minute the doors open until today, Head Chef Dave Anderson, Chefs Tom Croke, John Roche, Mary Pepper and Bar Supervisor Caroline Rowe is a great achievement.”
Riverside Park Hotel opened as a three-star Fáilte Ireland Hotel with 60 bedrooms in 1998, including the popular Promenade Bar, Moorings restaurant, and the extensive function room.
The hotel has become a huge success story with an international reputation for quality service, value for money and friendliness, and has been a huge asset to Enniscorthy.
It has developed and extended over the two decades and has been transformed into one of the finest four-star hotels in the country with 100 bedrooms and now offers its customers a variety of dinning experiences from The Promenade Bar, Moorings Restaurant and Alamo Steakhouse.
It has also grown its conference business starting with one meeting room in 1998, and now can offer up to 700 theatre-style of five conference rooms catering for national and international conferences.
Over 2,000 wedding couples have celebrated their special day at the Riverside Park Hotel.
